I will be more inclined to buy them if the following apply:
a) They are 'limited' (either in production or serialized)
b) More of a package/presentation w/ style-specific coin/medal/pin/case/etc...
c) Oakley [Lux] makes it clear they are going to stand by them from a warranty perspective (regardless of how well they are built or not)

I can see 'a' being probable, 'b' not as much, and 'c', well - I won't hold my breath
