If it was kept inside it probably would have lasted.

Ohh from all the freeze and thaw/expansion and contraction. We also have very dry winters here and very moist summers. Lots of extremes. That window hole in the fruit cellar would’ve provided direct access to all of that. Not in direct sunlight of course and always cooler than outside in the summer heat, but definitely more susceptible and exposed to the elements versus being in other rooms. I would’ve thought keeping them colder than the rest of the house in that cold cellar would’ve prolonged their pop-can existence haha, but I guess that place was to their detriment.

I never really had much use for a kitchen mixer, but now that I've seen these, I'm looking onto learning to bake....
