What Color is Prizm Snow Rose?

Oakley Prizm Snow Rose has a red-ish pink tint from both the outside and looking through the lens.

It’s important to also note that this lens does not have an Iridium (mirrored) coating, meaning other riders will be able to see your eyes through your goggles. If you prefer an Iridium coating, you’ll likely want to check out our Prizm lenses like Prizm Snow Sapphire or Snow Jade.

Initial Impressions and Review

When you first put on Prizm Snow Rose lenses you definitely notice the 26% VLT, especially if you’ve worn other darker lenses like Prizm Snow Black. But for us, Snow Rose was the perfect darkness for overcast conditions like the day we were skiing.

The Rose tint of these lenses definitely made the gloomy day outside seem warmer. But it was really the contrast-enhancing that made us love this lens.

We noticed a huge difference in being able to spot terrain changes, sticks, and pine cones in the snow with Prizm Rose. Especially with overcast days like ours that can sometimes create whiteout conditions making it difficult to see.

Are They Worth It – Our Recommendation?

Yes, Prizm Snow Rose is a great lens that we’d recommend for overcast and snow skiing, but it may not be right for everyone.

Here’s why.

While we had nothing but positive comments about this lens in overcast conditions, it definitely would be on the bright side during sunny bluebird days.

Instead, if you’re looking for a lens for sunny days or all-around conditions you’re likely better off with a darker Prizm Snow lens like Sapphire, Jade, or Black Iridium.

Overall, Prizm Snow Rose is worth your money if you’re using multiple Oakley lenses in your goggles to adapt to different lighting conditions.
