I feel like the Bron line is just some kind of excess for the sake of excess.
Not bad shoes, but apart from I guess for LeBron's exceptional needs (hardly anyone in the league wears them anymore), there's less practical focus to the regular consumer's benefit. The cushion spec is amazing, and they've taken incremental/careful upgrades, but the upper design seems to take weird jumps. 15-18 fit/wear pretty different. With how good synthetic textiles are, the knit implementation seems forced.
Mbappe and Dunkman versions of the 18 look fire. Would've considered those, especially to have a dark base upper to wear with more confidence, but fit and the tongue just haven't been working out for me.
Would recommend the Bred Kyrie 7 as perhaps the most functionally favorable colorway. It's a GR that should hit discount sooner than later and when I checked it out in person, it had more reinforcement at the medial side's eyelets. All 3 of my current pairs feel lacking in that regard and I have to consciously lace carefully.
