Not sure they'd have to as such. Controlling the production was a thing in the Jim Jannard Oakley era, but there are suppliers who could cast titanium alloy for them. Whether the cost factor would mean Lux-Oakley would go down a cheaper material route anyway is another question entirely...That's a good point - if they ever try to do a heritage version of x-metals, unlike the o-matter heritages they'd certainly have to use lesser materials, as the fakes do...
But they'd come in a really cool box, right?!?![]()
that's a big YIIIKKKKEEEESSSS
People do, but people either don't believe what they have to say, or plaster it everywhere, so people just stay quiet. The trusted circles know whats going on tho, rest assured lol.Of all the collectors and Oakley freaks in here, no one has a "Deep Throat" inside the facility?
Well bro they can call it whatever they want but we all know the truth the x metal line ENDED and we have to accept that and it has been accepted by most. They should be called madman, badman and start their own lineage yes thats the definition in my head x metals are x metals and these are no way close to that only my opinion.not really. its a continuation of the xmetal line. they may not fit the definition you have in your head, but they are indeed in the same lineage.
I do think the design language is in the same family. Perhaps Oakley redefines what X metals are. Traditional titanium X metals would be one category, and newer designs could have their own categories. It makes sense in terms of brand recognition and continuity. If I were at the helm, that would be my approach.Well bro they can call it whatever they want but we all know the truth the x metal line ENDED and we have to accept that and it has been accepted by most.
