both are Polarized. that's what the P in BIP abbreviation stands for. if they weren't polar they would just be abbreviated BI.

I know, I was just double checking to make sure it wasn't a type or anything xD. Thanks! Do they appear to be the same LT% in person?

as for the lighter. here is the thing... Prizm lenses all seem to be similar in the fact that even though the light transmission is low, it doesn't darken your vision as much as the older lenses. you can wear them later in the day or on cloudy days, yet you will not be squinting on bright days. it honestly is one of the biggest things besides improved color I like about the Prizm line. I wear my Prizm Field lenses playing golf in twilight conditions right up to the point where the sun is down.

I want to get BIP Prizm and Maritime Prizm now so bad lol.

I know this isn't the right forum for it, but can someone explain how the trophy points work? Is it like every like you get, you receive 2 trophy points, and every 500 likes you get on a comment, you are awarded 100 trophy points, etc.? Can other members give you trophy points or something if they like you?

You have BIP AND BIP Prizm lenses, you didn't sell your BIP lenses after getting the Prizm version - will you be doing that, or do you like them enough still to keep?

I like them enough to keep them for backups or something. I just find myself reaching for pairs with BIP a lot less than my Prizm BIP, Prizm DWP, Prizm Ruby, ect... the new tech is just like candy for your eyes and at this point is a treat to wear.

I want to replace the BIP lenses with Prizm BIP custom cuts in a Juliet and an XS frame i have eventually. the Prizm BIP donors are just not cheap or easy to find yet since they are so new. I already swapped Prizm BIP into my daily wearer pair of Holbrooks though.

I will still use BIP and I don't see myself replacing them in my Two Face, Gascan, or other O-matter frames because it just wouldn't be cost effective. I don't think I will sell any of the lenses I take out of the Xmetals though, I'll just put them in my parts section of my display cases. I hate selling things and hording Xmetal parts is never a bad idea.

Does anyone know if Oakley will sell replacement lenses for BIP Prizm? It seems like they are slowly making their Gemstone lenses Prizm, but only with a pair of frames, not replacement lenses.

Question:

I just got a pair of Drop Points with Black Prizm Polarized lenses. When I put them on everything looks super contrasty and greens really pop (I'm used to the regular BIP lenses) which I suppose is the Prizm stuff doing its thing. When I take them off however, my vision seems a bit weird for at least a few minutes. Never had that with the regular BIP / BI lenses.

Is that normal? Do others experience this as well?

At least with Prizm Daily, I get that, but it takes me a few seconds, not a few minutes. It's probably your eyes adjusting from having the sunglasses on and seeing everything through a lens with a different hue compared to your natural vision.

Alright thanks. Not sure I'm a fan, might end up returning these for regular BI lenses.
