Wash them with warm water and a gentle soap regularly or if you prefer your trusty Oakley lens cleaning solution.

Skin oils, hair products, and sunblock lotion are all potentially harmful and must washed or rinced off when they come into contact with the lens. Be sure to clean the orbitals too as they may hide these residues.

Typically the peeling will start around the edges, perhaps because of uncleaned orbitals.

There is always ways to prevent lens peeling. Just like @SiRacer420 said make sure there isn't any crap left on the lenses. people tend to treat oakleys like sacks of potatoes and expect French frys... but get mashed potatoes instead. Take care of them be you can enjoy them that much longer just like French frys... everyone loves French frys!

I am hungry now. Lol

To add to what other's have stated....

Don't use windex or other harsh chemical cleaners including rubbing alcohol. You'll be sorry for sure.

For soap I would stay away from any soaps that have any fragrance added. As @OakleyCan stated warm water and gentle soap is your best bet.

Clean your lenses regularly (even with only light use) and clean your M.F. bags regularly as well (think of all the oils the absorb from getting rid of fingerprints).

With proper care you should get years of use and limit the chances of peeling

I just use the bags for storage. I clean my lenses with the cloth that comes with the cleaner or one of the other oakley cleaning cloths I have. Wash those regularly and keep them away from other stuff.

Not much you can do once it has started! Not entirely sure what causes it in the first place, I am sure some more knowledgeable 0-Bros will chip in and enlighten us.

From my experience, it hasn't happened to any of my lenses, I always clean the lenses using Oakley Cleaning Fluid and the appropriate cloths. Never leave them with oil/fingerprints on them.

All good as of now, but I have heard that bubbling and peeling is common with every lens including Oakley.

Don't put them on top of your head with a bunch of crap in your hair. Clean them after you wear them. Store them in the bag and in the case.

You'll be happy.
Happy happy happy.

Roger :)

Body oils and hot cars are to be avoided.
What about sweat?
