It looks cool on it's own, but when on your face, it looks like you have a nose bandage on. Maybe the gold might be a bit dull or it's just that the "X" is just too big to look right painted a different color...

I used to do more distress stuff but now that your doing them custimers dont ask me. Lol. They just go to you for it. This is the first one I've been asked to do in a long while.

Your definitely right. Ah well back to the drawing board. Instead of just gold cerakote. I think I'm going to color match the gold from the 24k xx exactly with pigments and clear.. turned out kinda light to be honest. And it doesn't help I did a crap job in cutting the lenses either lol. R1 and mars have been the hardest for me.. most others I can do with zero issues.

I had managed a beater 24k xx and I was interested in making an R1 in the colorway.. I stole the stems off the old plasma and made a full plasma xx. Might as well right. Anyway I matched the nose bridge to the stems with regular cerakote and didnt like the look..now playing around with some pigments I used some cerakote matte amour clear and got the bridge much better.. here it is. Saved the serial too..I know its redundant but to me it makes them more interesting.. I like it now..

I actually like both versions, but if I'm being honest and had them both in the display case I would grab the later version. I think it goes much better with those lenses. Not to say that a different color lens would look killer in the first version. It all boils down to what you like the best anyway. I could care less what anyone thinks about my customized Julies, heck I have never seen anyone wearing an X Metal of any kind round my parts. W

I like my split jacket collection now. Satisfied for sure..

Those are some awesome Splits for sure Brian (especially the tree frog one and that CF Dip), I just started with them (2 pairs) and really like the look. Need a ton more so I can mix and match like @Chris515000 and his RJ's

Its actually not cerakote gold. I tried that and didn't like the match. So I mixed some gold metallic pigment into some cerkoate armour baked matte clear until I got the OEM match..

I was thinking anodized purple or maybe heat ano plates with violet lenses.?
