That is one of my grails, Copper plated R1 left un-sealed for corrosion and patina....

Those are some killer Christmas gifts there!

I like that idea! Nothing better than patina, I secretly have been collecting silver coins. I love the toning they get from age

Thanks so much. Yes I'm not sure what I want to do yet but I just didn't like this look so much. I'm also having one of my polished romeos copper plated now.

I'd love to. Somehow I tend to feel trapped on the continent. I've never left it, the older I get the more I wanna cross the pond buddy. So true Brian! I've always loved collecting. Baseball cards, coins, girlfriends (that's a sick joke), and sunglasses.

Travel while you're young. It gets exponentially harder after having a family. Unless you're rich, in which case ignore me.

So as you can see here on this one part it can be time consuming as hell. Some of the pits are deep. This one spot took me 30 min of sanding. 220grit to 850 to 1500. After that of course comes polishing but you can see it still needs more sanding too. That's just the single spot. I love it though.

So as you can see here on this one part it can be time consuming as hell. Some of the pits are deep. This one spot took me 30 min of sanding. 220grit to 850 to 1500. After that of course comes polishing but you can see it still needs more sanding too. That's just the single spot. I love it though.

I had no idea honestly they needed to be sanded smooth first. Makes sense to get rid of all those casting dimples first now. Great work
