The house we bought has a detached garage with an extension. I do get overspray, but it’s mild. I move the cars out and try to use lower spray settings. One quarter of the garage is destroyed with overspray, but the rest is good haha. I can’t imagine spraying with an attached garage, that smell would get everywhere, especially when cleaning. I spray acetone through my gun, not a great smell. Better than cerakote clear though...I've wasted so much product trying the in and out thing plus the house still smells. Especially after clears or cerakote. Here cerakote turns to this jelly consistency as soon as I step out into the garage to spray. What I've been doing is waiting on good days in the winter.. so like just around freezing 0°c or so. The garage then is about 10 or so. Doable. When its -22°c at night it just takes so long for the heater to warm up its almost not worth it. I store all my products inside so it's not an issue of keeping it warm it's more the issue of the atmosphere I'm actually spraying in. Cerakote within minutes starts to chunk up and spit from the gun. So basically I just cant do it until some sort of weather break. Which is supposed to come here Monday. I luckily can still polish and anodize as its nothing is aerosolized. At this point I just need to hope some customers can stay patient with me and know I'll get the things done as soon as I can. I'd do some hydrodips as well but I have to prime things lol. Ive just been handcuffed for a week and a half. We just all need an earlier spring. Lol. I still to this day cant figure out why doc chop always complained he couldn't spray in the hot weather of California. It's cold that kills the paints and coatings. I definitely appreciate the advice though guys. How do you like spraying in your garages. I've all but killed everything in there with overspray lol. Like I have to repaint the walls and floors in the garage when I sell my home and buy my new place. I am super excited to set up something more permanent. I just did such a horrible job of keeping things clean when I started 5 years ago. Funny when I am house shopping I'll be looking for certain things to make my own area there. Lol. Oakleys are gonna determine what home I buy hahaha..who'd have thought that.
