Hey O-Teamate…you are making me feel guilty…and lazy! 😉

Man…I pack it well, toss it on the counter with a wad O bills and don’t count my change! Sounds like I been throwing money out the window! 😆💸

If you ship once in awhile it does not add up to allot but if you move stuff in and out all the time like me it can add up to a new pair of glasses real fast a few dollars at a time.

My take on shipping USPS, is anything over one pound has to be shipped priority. $15 or more. Anything under a pound will have the First Class option which says four days, but at half the price of Priority. I use First Class when I can because USPS almost never makes the Priority 3 day mail time anyway.
I am pretty sure you can ship over a pound using their ground (formerly 1st class) now. You were correct when it was the old first class, over a pound had to be priority. I shipped that hole shot watch in a box at almost a pound and a half ground just a couple of weeks ago.

Shipping times seems to be like a crap-shoot right now. More mail is being delayed IMO.

Since I moved to Memphis it now take 2 days for a priority piece to come from anywhere in the country to Memphis then 3-4 days for it to move through the network here and get to Oakland which is one county and 20 minutes away from the city line.

They look legit but that means nothing anymore as the copies are getting super good…. Weigh it and make sure it specs properly in ounces or grams. As long as it checks out $350 is obtainable for a Juliet that is tight.

Trust what I’m saying… this XX came to me in two pieces and when Mark put it back together it weighed over 2 ounces not the 1.6 it was supposed to. It’s on the way back to seller as we speak…

There are a couple of tells to this piece but being in pieces I hurriedly sent it off to be reassembled. Put back together it would have never gotten past me but I am amazed how close these are getting to looking real.

They're not fake.

They're not fake.

They look good... I am just becoming very over skeptical after having bought and returned 3 XX's this year alone because their pictures looked good. All three were pretty tough to tell apart from real. I swear they are eventually going to match the weights up and smooth out the rough edges and its going to be impossible to tell them apart... I fear that day.

If anyone's interested, I'll be putting them for sale. If someone wants to PM me before I list them, FCFS.

Hey there,

A few days ago I stumbled over my oldest Oakley Models and my Kids found it funny to wear them as they do look very special. They were lying in the desk for many years now. I bought them around 2000 and 2002.
I know tried to find out more about the Models and possible value. I am pretty sure that I fount out about the model but couldn’t find anything about the value.
The both glasses I am talking about should be
Oakley X-Metal Penny – Copper / VR28 and Oakley Mars X-Metal
Enclosed I uploaded a few pictures.
Conditions are very good. The glasses of the Mars look new. It had hardly been worn. There is only a minor dent on the top of the frame. Also one nosepad is missing.
The Penny also has a great conditions. No scratches, no dents.

It would be so great if some guys here could let me know if I am right with the model and provide me with an idea of the value of both of them.

Thank you all so much in advance.

Cheers
Jan

As a follow up to my post I am unsure in the color of the lenses. As I will probably sell both it would be perfect to know the correct name/color of the lenses.

Another question: I would like to buy spare nose pads for the Mars. Is there any shop in Germany/Europe where I can get those?

Thank you all!
Cheers
Jan
