Hello I write from europe and I have these sunglasses X-metal xx with black iridium lens, I really loved these glasses they were great compaion in my past vacations with snowboard and mtb.
Recently I found them in my parents house and I am thinking about selling them so I discovered this forum and I am asking for your help for a correct valutation of them, on the web, mostly in my country's markets, I saw values from 500 eur to more than 1.000.

So I'd like to know an opinion from true experts.

Thanks in advance and sorry for the pics bad quality but i got a chinese mobile

A few things about these doesn't look right going by the pictures. The nose bridge doesn't look right (not proper proportions/size) and neither do the bottom of the orbitals, where the screws are. Looks much too big. Anyone agree?

Edit:
After looking at the pics again compared to my pair in the same position, I guess it's just poor lighting. Do you have any clearer or better pictures? We can get a better idea of value that way.

Since you said you used them it's safe to assume they could use a tune up. Can't tell on the lenses but I always assume they're ****.

Does it have a serial number on the left arm? It would start with XX then be 6 digits. If so, does it match the serial on the box? It's on the bottom side under the barcode and after the sku. That will increase the value to some people.

I think during the summer the most you expect would be $450-$500 if it's serial matched and in great shape. Deduct for needing a tune up, deduct for needing lenses, deduct for non serial or non matching serials (that's debatable to some) and most of all deduct for the time of year unless you plan to wait until spring to sell them.

Don't go by what you see them listed for. You have to look at what actually sold. I can list anything for $1000 but that doesn't mean it's gonna sell.

Thanks a lot for your exstimation, anyway I'm checking now the sunglasses and on the left arm there's written "ce" (a trademark of european union) and on the right arm just made in usa.

Could you please confirm that the model name is just x-metal xx ?

They originally came out in 1999 or early 2000 but oakley stopped putting serials on regular pairs in late 2004 so they have to be from after that.

Actually I thought they were older, but probably I do remember it wrong
The serial will be actually etched into the metal arm on the inside of the left arm. It will be approx half an inch in from the hinge. It may be difficult to see if it has worn. The 'CE' and 'Made in USA' will be moulded into the rubbers....
