I was hoping they would be a little more. Would that be a fair market value or what a collector would be willing to pay? ie, someone who needed to complete a collection or wanted them fairly bad. Again not a bad price, was just hoping they were more considering I paid that for them who knows how many years ago.

How many things do you own that are still worth what you paid many years ago? I’d say $300.00 is max what someone would even pay.

Having aftermarket lenses, I think $300 may be a little high. You can try eBay and get more, maybe. (But fees are higher)

I didn’t say $300.00 wasn’t a fair price. I think that sounds about right, I was just hoping for more from what I’ve seen for sale. I also have many things that are worth more today than when I purchased them, but thanks. I like to call them investments.

Thank you. I don’t think I will get much more than the $300.00 either. I was just trying to see what the interest would be. Thanks again.

You may see higher prices on ebay. Some of that is wishful thinking for listings that don't get sold. For the ones that do get sold, you have to account for the ebay fees which inflate the price above FMV.

But these would have limited appeal to a serious collector. A serious collector would want original lenses and all the packaging. Aftermarket lenses add zero value so these are basically a frame and rubbers for the casual collector and/or user. $300 is a generous assessment because I added about $50 - $75 since they're 1st gen Ti that appear to be in pretty immaculate condition; that finish (as well as 1st gen Plasma) was known to deteriorate.

Another thing not assessed is the condition of the nosebridge. The $300 value is if the nosebridge is tight. If it is not (which frankly is more likely) then that would subtract $50 in value.

Thanks for your advice and assessment. I agree with you and the nose seems okay but I’ve never felt another one to know any difference. They are in immaculate condition and should make someone a great pair of glasses. Is there a area on this site that I would be able to sell these to someone without having to go on eBay?
