For OEM cut lenses, I’d say $100 +/-. If you try to find OEM etched, you looking at $175 or more, since they are rare and not made anymore. (This is the original style that’s actually in the frame now)
You may be able to get regular BI cut for less, or a more “unique” lens, such as maritime for more...check out Chris Hardaway thread for already cut lenses...

I appreciate all the info! I wasn't really considering an R1 as my first pair due to their general price cost being in the 550+ range was trying to keep it around half that, just to see if I'd enjoy them. However with them costing only slightly more than the Juliets I mentioned, seems like they might just be worth the investment to restore. Seems like they're the most popular pair of metals, or at least have the biggest following?

R1 is the most “iconic” but Juliet’s are the most popular...mainly due to lowest price and fit. They also have the most colorways.

Comfort is the biggest factor for me when deciding on models, I had read/heard Juliets to be just that. Although none of those friends owned R1 to compare them to.
Decisions, decisions...

Then get a Monster Dog. I find them to be much more comfortable than any X Metal...obviously, that is subjective. :)

Seriously, I find the XX and XS frame the most comfortable.

I do like the style of the XX similar to Juliet, but with bigger lenses... don't seem to come across them as often as the others. Found a pair of TiO2 I liked not far from me so I could pick up in person by, but the seller is away until november... no box, but in really clean shape asking 375 - that seems reasonable, not a steal of a deal but at least they don't need any additional investment put into them.

Really nice XX are usually north of $400...a good amount more if you ever come across a plasma...

Dug up a photo of them, they look pretty clean? Guy says he'd always been too nervous that something would happen to them, that he basically didn't wear them and just sat on display in his office. Says they're in like new condition (although there appears to be a mark across the nose bridge?)

The finish can sometimes show imperfections at certain angles, so you may want to ask for additional pics.
