What all are you looking to do to repair them? Just replacement lenses? Do you need to replace the rubbers? Do you want to refinish them?

You should be able to repair them for less cost than their value; it just depends on how far you want to take it. For example, finding genuine OEM replacement lenses for R1 in mint condition can run $200+. But you can get replacement lenses custom cut from OEM donors for half that.

The rubbers are fine. I would probably refinish but it loses the character that i have come to love and accept. Replace the lenses, probably yes but i would prefer genuine replacement that i think would be difficult to find. But as is, how much would you value it? Thanks..

Add a refinish and tuneup from @THE X-MAN and for under $200 total they would be like new.

if the frame serial matches the box what would you do for the best?
a) have them refinished and made 'as new' but in a colour that doesn't match the box or
b) make them as good as you can get with new lenses and rubber but preserve the Ti colour??

i think i would have them refinished to x-metal.

Thats the original box but not the original microfiber. I prefer the original Ti, can referbish do that?

i would recommend you get in touch with THE X-MAN. he will advise you of your best options of finish.

a matching box (colour way and serial) does add value but as they are i would estimate a value of approx. $350.

Hi guys,
Need a little help putting a fair price on my vintage Racing Jackets - not sure if they're 1. or 2. generation.
FMJ Platinum frame with Rootbeer rubbers in very good condition - only thing I've been able to find is a few very tiny marks inside the orbitals - barely visible on the photo. Like scratch marks you might get when replacing lenses.
Not sure about the lens color - could be gold or grey - lenses have slight cleaning marks and are probably 8/10 - to me vision isn't affected.
No box - only sunnies and the big cleaning pouch.

I'm sure someone like @GRFMotorsports can speak with more authority on the subject, but my guess is they're 1st gen. The lenses might be gold but they look more like VR28 to me.

If 1st gen and VR28 the SKU is 03-277. IDK current value but they MSRP'd at $130, 16 years ago.

I was prepared to go to £450 for LNIB serialled emerald slates. Of course, I got luckier than that!
