Hey, I am a brand new member so not sure if I am posting this is the right section. But I just purchased a pair of used Oakley’s from a site and I can’t seem to find anyone who is sure if they are authentic or not and I do not have a sunglasses hut or Oakley store near me. They are oil rigs but I guess a gen 1 (which I didn’t even know they had), I can’t find many to compare them too. Can anyone on here give me your thoughts, I am running out of time to return them. But I paid $65 for them and just wanted a second opinion before requesting a return.

Ok, I made a some simple things by myself and found this I bought are bogus. Here are the steps I made:

1) Bag included has a very thin white string, first sign of alert.

2) The lenses look thick, like more thick than my other flaks.

3) The case seems authentic, but not of this particular model (have a space in the foam for extra lenses which most flak cases don't have)

4) When trying to change the lenses to another of my frames, didn't fit, not even tried to force it (it looked like my frame would crack if I tried harder).

The thing is that the lens are etched POLARIZED and look very close to legit. When searching the code I got the Prizm Field model, not this Ruby polarized model.

Look fake to me, wrong lens, bag string concern and the logo on the bridge looks wrong.

If you have other Flak 2.0 XL pairs and the lenses wont swap, huge red flag.

I’m not familiar with the pit boss line but these look legit. Is that correct? Right leg looks damaged. View attachment 637417View attachment 637418View attachment 637419View attachment 637420View attachment 637421

Adding a few more pictures. Looking at O review it appears to the matte black polarized iridium. @the_owl I believe your knowledgeable in pit boss.

Actually they look like fakes, the lenses are grey/clear as you can see the left arm/temple through the left lens same with the right lens and temple. The titanium plate on the left orbital is short. Made in the USA imprint is missing on the right arm/temple. The Pit Boss II stamp is faded/borderline non-existent. Additionally the titanium plates are polished as opposed to matte titanium as seen here on my PB1 - 8A1156C5-8C5C-496B-A966-B3C0FF61A955.jpeg with cc pblp lenses.
