Great information, thank you.FAKE bro.. cLearLy 3D printed.. if you ask for a picture with the 'Made in USA' it can't provide as that part is missed out during 3D printing..
Relocated this thread. Also, copy and pasting some info about another fake OTT that I left on a FB group, so may not totally match with the pictures @neardistant provided. You are more than welcome, @Msgt Oakley: might be an idea to get @cacatman to put the information on a permanent basis! Accessible.
On other pictures there's definite innconsistancy with the locations of the holes: so as to identify them as being fake.Relocated this thread. Also, copy and pasting some info about another fake OTT that I left on a FB group, so may not totally match with the pictures @neardistant provided.
Re: OTT
You can see the “foam” )on mine) behind the orbitals is not foam at all. It is more like a felt cushion with stuffing inside which fills out the angles of the OTT shape. In the side profile, you can see that it has the appearance of a bubble, getting thicker towards the middle of the cushion.
If they are used a lot, sometimes you find genuine OTTs in the wild with the cushion missing because they obviously deteriorate with sweat.
Also, the bag for the goggles (which is original and came with the OTTs to protect the lenses) has a different tag, which is the older version of the labels for the Oakley microfibre bags in that era circa 2000s.
All I can say is that mine and yours look different.
It’s possible that later OTTs had minor variations, and it is well known that their casting processes for their normal frames (especially x-metals) could sometimes vary, so the holes above the orbitals or even the bag doesn’t concern me (although I have not ever seen a bag with the different Oakley label, like yours has).
The thing that bothers me most is the foam above and behind the orbitals. That looks fake to me even though the lenses look convincing.
