I believe I got a fake Splice in the mail today. Can anyone please confirm for me? I remember splice having screws in oribitals and these don't. Was there a second gen? Seller is insisting they are real.

Well, here's what you tell him...
Splice were two piece frames joined together. Fakes are typically one piece that's been partially painted to look like two pieces.
That looks like is supposed to be FMJ+ / Crystal black. That frame had ice lenses, not fire. And fire lenses have a greenish-brown base tint while those are neutral (many fakes have fake fire lenses with a neutral base tint).
Then the final nail in the coffin, the "made in USA" on the earsock - the word "in" is on a raised part of the ribbing. Real ones have it right next to the word "made" in the recessed part.

As far as i can spot these are real but im not 100% certain. They are too old for me to be comfortable saying they are real because i don't know that much about them. As far as i can see these are Oakley plate bronze / titanium iridium. I did a little bit of research online and the ones i can find they look identical. I found a number for them as well, 03 852. Ill let you guys do your thing and if you want any more pictures of any areas on them just let me know! Cheers!
So far so good haha! hopefully someone who knows these very well can confirm that!I'm about 99% sure those are real. I don't see anything that looks wrong. However I'm not a pro.![]()

As far as i can see these are Oakley plate bronze / titanium iridium. These are used but they were very well taken care of if they are as old as i think they are, no scratches at all on lenses and the only wear i can see on the frames is towards the back of the arms just from being put on and taken off over the years. I did a little bit of research online and the ones i can find they look identical. I found a number for them as well, 03 852.
