Official Fakes/Possible Fakes Inquiry Thread (ARE THESE FAKE? POST FAKES HERE)

Are these fake or legit?

I compared these to my other two flak 2.0XL pairs which were purchased in 2018 (glossy black frame) and 2023 (glossy black midnight frame). The lenses looks good to me and match my other flak 2.0xl rose gold polarized lenses.

The frames though have some slightly different details compared to older ones. Both old pairs have "USA Assembled" in white letters on the back frame, while the new one has "USA Assembled" in white letters in a red trapezoid.

On the serial number, the old pairs have the same font and icon separating 59 and 12. The new pair has a bigger/bolder font and a square instead of the icon separately 59 and 12.

I also double checked my wife's ojectors (matte frame rose gold polarized) which she bought 3 months ago from the nearby Oakley store, as they are the newest pair in the household. The details of these glasses do match the new flak 2.0XL glasses. The ojectors have the red "USA Assembled" trapezoid, the bolder/bigger font, and the square instead of the icon.

There fine. The red tag started a few years ago. Its also where the put the "custom" tag it they are from OCP.

The fonts and size markings on the frame differs all the time. A bit ago I posted some pictures directly from an O store that showed at least 4 different variations across just the sutro model.

'Consistency' is something Oakley still hasn't managed to get right! There are frequent discrepancies in lens colors and tints, ranging from subtle to glaringly obvious. These variations colors have thrown collectors ad enthusiasts off-track for ages now, it can be considered a part of the Oakley experience !

I asked Oakley reddit, and while most people said they looked legit, two people claimed the square instead of icon means fake. I thought i would double check here as they wife bought her ojectors from the oakley store 3 months ago. I know those are real and they have a square instead of icon, so maybe it's a new Oakley thing or specific to matte frames.

Asking the Oakley subreddit was your first mistake. Literally the blind leading the blind over there.

Thanks! That is good to hear. Crazy how inconsistent they can be.

Lol. Someone with 1 karma said they were fake. When I asked to elaborate, they mentioned the box meant fake. I looked through all my sunglasses, all of them had icons so I was worried. Then I looked at the ojectors mentioned and saw the box relieved. So I replied that, and the person delete all their comments lol. Someone else claimed the fonts meant fake a long with the box. A few people did say legit on reddit but didn't offered much of a reason.

Definitely feel better after posting here as I feel like it's easier tell here that the people here are more qualified to deem legit or fake lol

Are you freaking serious??? It's the holy grail! It's the first thing that the designers came up with when Jim asked them to design a lightweight titanium frame. Those unholy things that sell like hot cakes are all reimaginations of a devil mind. This is design purity. This thing's worth much more!!!!
Thank you for the input, I grabbed them at full pop before someone else snatched them up. Your information was crucial to my decision, so MUCH APPRECIATED!

Can't really tell if these Scar's are real or fake. Any input would be welcome!
