Official Fakes/Possible Fakes Inquiry Thread (ARE THESE FAKE? POST FAKES HERE)

Yes, thank you! now I understand what that abbreviation means. But what about the “Made in USA” marking? On the o-review website, you can even see it on the right arm, and there’s no “SW” on the lens. Could you explain why that is?

I found the same model on a forum — For Sale - Holbrook Shaun White Polished White/24K GOLD 9102-18

Am I right to think my pair of Holbrooks is a fake? It just seems really strange to me that there’s no “Made in USA” marking, and as you can see, there’s no etching on the lens either.
Thanks for tagging me @Msgt Oakley
So if I recall some/most signature pairs have the sig on the arm that would normally say “made in USA” so you’re good there. The OO9102-18 is correct for the polished white and gold icon Shaun White.

As for the lenses…those lenses didn’t come stock in that frame. Those came in the matte clear pair and are polarized if I recall. Not sure how they ended up in the white pair.

Hi @crazywayne311, glad you saw my post about the Oakley Holbrook :) Maybe the previous owner swapped the lenses, I don’t think that’s a big deal. What do you think about the fact that “Made in USA” should be on the right arm, but it’s missing on my pair?

I previously sent a link to the guy who was selling this model, and his pair has both the Shaun White signature and “Made in USA” on the other arm.

@Oakleylover13 yesh I’m not where near my pairs but I’m pretty sure mine do…but looking on eBay I saw both pairs with and without. Honestly, the tell usually is checking the inner part of the hinge. They should show the letter L and a number and on the right the letter R and a number. Never seen fakes with that

That’s right, I forgot about the L and the R

Hello everyone!!! I'm new to Oakleys and LOVE the look of the katos, but they're a little beyond my price range. So, I've found a few on Ebay and wanted to get an expert opinion regarding their authenticity.
