Official Fakes/Possible Fakes Inquiry Thread (ARE THESE FAKE? POST FAKES HERE)

Hi everyone! I’m interested in buying a pair of Oakley Kato sunglasses, but the seller didn’t provide a photo of the product code (model number / SKU) or the exact color name. I couldn’t find an identical model online, and many Kato listings on O-review also don’t have images.

Could anyone help me determine if these are genuine Oakley Kato and identify the colorway based on the description? I’d really appreciate any advice or tips. Thanks!

I'm going with fake. That cleaning cloth and paperwork give it away

Thank you very much for your reply! I really appreciate it. Could you please tell me which factors in the document raised your concerns? I compared it with the original document but couldn’t find any differences.

He already told you, the cleaning cloth and the paperwork. Authentic Oakleys do not come with that cloth

I have a question about another pair of glasses, I want to buy them, but I’m not sure if they’re authentic. The seller isn’t sure whether the pouch actually belongs to these glasses.

Those are real
Oh, that’s good! It’s just that I have some doubts, I found this exact model, and it doesn’t have the engraving on the top left of the lens. It should also say “Made in USA” on the right arm, but this one doesn’t. It also comes with a pouch that has this logo. Despite all that, they share the same article number OO9102-18 — Holbrook Polished White / 24K Gold Iridium.

Please tell me what colorway this is, why it looks different from the one shown on O-Review, what the “MS” or “WS” logo stands for, and why there’s no “Made in USA” marking on the arm?

Its a Shawn White signature Holbrook. The bag and the lens etching are a SW, the initials of his name. on the inside of the left arms you can see his signature printed.

Yes, thank you! now I understand what that abbreviation means. But what about the “Made in USA” marking? On the o-review website, you can even see it on the right arm, and there’s no “SW” on the lens. Could you explain why that is?

The renders on O review aren't always 100% accurate, those are created long before the model is sold and changes happen. The etching is in the upper right corner of the right lens, it may not show up in the render. As for the Made in the USA, id need to defer to a Holbrook guy, I don't collect them so I only have a handful to reference. The reality is no one who creating fakes is going to the lengths of printing the signature and copying a bag to make them, they wouldn't be worth enough to put the effort in.
