Haha, thanks guys.

I actually went into an Oakley store today and compared them, and yup, they are in fact authentic. Styling aside, they certainly have an overall feel that is completely different than my old Flak Jackets which was also kind of throwing me off.

Hello, first post here not too familiar with Oakleys but looking to buy a pair off my supervisor at work.

Oil rigs - Polished Black / Black Iridium w/ White ghost text.

I don't have any pics I'll try and take some but he claims they're the 2010/11 models. Are their different gens of oil rigs?

The O icon doesn't have the vertical line but the ghost text is on the inside, made in USA and oil Rig text on inside are raised/embedded.

The hinges do lock and they don't touch the lenses, ones just a lil loose but it still pops.

That's all I can pretty much tell you without having an actual photo of them.

EDIT: The lenses are pretty reflective on the outside. You can still see through but hardly.

There are two gen of oil rigs, the gen 1 is the typical square o icon and the gen 2 is the the castle square o icon hence the cross lines. Check first the SKU# on the arm, it should be 24-001.

Those are fake Pitbulls, the real ones don't have the O on the lens or Oakley on the bridge.
