Official Fakes/Possible Fakes Inquiry Thread (ARE THESE FAKE? POST FAKES HERE)

Hello dear friends & Oakley lovers. I got my 2nd pair today & straight away hit this thread. Please help me out in distinguishing whether the piece I got is the real deal or some fake.

The model I got is OO9182-10 131 Radarlock Pitch.

There is NO Made in USA written on the insides. Makes some squeaking noises when opened/closed.

The reason I chose Pitch over Path is because I have a slightly bigger face & thus the bigger glass suits me.

Don't know whether these are Polarized or not.

Also there is no cleaning cloth with the package, same with my earlier pair too.

If any more information is required in ascertaining the quality, I will update.

Here are a few pics. please pardon the quality, taken from a phone cam.

I hate to keep spamming this thread, but I saw an ebay listing for some juliets (item # 251714961945) which advertises the lenses as being ice iridium. I know it's hard as hell to determine if a pic of lenses is true-to-life, but those lenses look exactly like the ones I just posted about. The yellowish tinge , and slightly darker center (see the view from behind) seem spot-on. Anybody with genuine ice lenses want to make a judgment call?
OEM Ice is a grey base, nothing yellowish about it at all.

Thanks, thats some respite :)

How to be certain about the frame & how are you sure about the glasses ?

Also Radarlock Path are on the way, would be keeping one out of the two. Which one do you people suggest ?

Pitboss II help. I am selling some Pitboss 2's on ebay and have sold 4 of the 9 that I have. I'll be honest, I bought 9 off of woot.com when they had them for $150 and want to make some $. Anyway, one of my buyers recently bought a pair and is claiming that they are fake because it doesn't say "made is usa" on the right earstem. He's right, they in fact do not say that on the right earstem, but didn't Oakley stop putting that on the earstems? What really confuses me is that on Oakleys website, the pictures they have show that it says made in usa on the right earstem. Are the ones I have fake? They definitely look and feel exactly like a pair I bought when they were first released (that I no longer have). Here's the ebay item #171429656547. Any help would be appreciated, because we have been sending messages back and forth and he just won't believe that they are real.
No made on the usa for later models. First run had them. I have pairs with and without the MIUSA mthe one that had it embossed was a display unit In the oakley store, I asked for a sealed unmolested pair, the manager came out with an unprinted pair. I asked her about it and she said the first run were marked. Tell the seller to go to an oakley store ans ask them to confirm authenticity if they want they have no proof, but i would probably start mentioning they are unmarked pairs.

Nothing to worry about here IMO from the pics posted anyway.

I have lots of PB II most of which have the CE mark on and no made in USA. The problem, FWIW is whilst the giveway with some fakes is they still print 'Made in USA on' despite the official model never having that on (I'm thinking of some Holbrooks I've seen) the PB II counterfeit models copy the newer run of official Oakley products by removing the 'Made in USA'.

PB II's have come up in a lot of threads recently and I will keep repeating it, the quality of counterfeit PB II's at times is very, very good and it is very easy to be duped. You can often talk yourself into believing they are the real thing.

So mine looks original ?

The 2nd statement takes back to square 1

Btw Radarlock Path also arrived. A related question, can we swap lenses between Path & Pitch ?

Do you have anymore pictures to post up? Quite difficult to tell from that alone.

What is the lens etching like? Is it properly etched smoothly into the lens and not screen printed? It stands out a little more than I would expect (usually the etching blends into the lens more than standing out as a bold statement) but that might just be from the photo.

And yes, Radarlock Pitch and Radarlock Path lenses can be interchanged, although personally I much prefer the Path lenses, the Pitch one to me is just too tall and looks a bit strange.

Sure I will just add more pictures.

I tried scratching lens etching with nails, it didn't come off.

Oh great that the lenses can be inter-changed. Yes Path is sleeker & smarter too. But pitch looks better on bigger faces.

It's hard to explain, hopefully someone can form the words better than me! But with all radar lenses, it's not that you just can't scratch the etching off and it being screen printed, but more that when you rub your finger over it or your nail over it, that it's there embedded and etched into the lens and you can't feel the etching. I've read that back twice and I'm not even sure what I mean!

It's much easier to tell if you have a radar lens in your hand, when you know what you are looking for I can tell in 5 seconds if it's genuine or not, sometimes it's just as easy to tell with the pictures.

Radarlock Path will even take the original Radar Path lenses, sadly it's not interchangeable the other way around. I guess that's another reason why Radarlocks are more of benefit.

I still personally think the Radar Path is the ultimate sports pair of sunglasses though.
