Official Fakes/Possible Fakes Inquiry Thread (ARE THESE FAKE? POST FAKES HERE)

Im not doubting the authenticity of the frame itself, just the lenses. The frame I am positive is 100% Oakley. Its those lenses. As far as I know the ruby polarized was not introduced until just in the last few years which would make it impossible for this to be authentic lenses unless they were cut from something else or a one off from the factory. I dont have them in my hands so I cant inspect the lens thickness but as I mentioned before the font looks off. Anyone seen any aftermarket lenses with that etching? Seller claims they are Oakley lenses, I call BS till proven otherwise.

I want to call BS as well but with OCP's out there and pre sales samples out there? you never can tell unless you can verify for certain when the Ruby Pols came out?

update: just talked with a Oakley Rep in warranty and he verified that what you said Greg about the Ruby polars coming out like 3 or so years ago and not prior to that.

2013 is the consensus on when ruby polar was released.

thanks bro........yeah just got off the phone with Tyler at HQ and he verified what you said about the Ruby Polars being new and 2 or so years old so yeah those have to be aftermarlet man

Did Oakley every release the Eye Jacket 1.0 in a matte smoke clear frame? One just recently sold on eBay and looked great but I was unable to verify the authenticity and had to pass. If they were authentic I'd love to try and track down that frame. Thank you for any info.

No, rootbeer, tortoise and 10W40 were the only translucent frames released. There are plenty of clear frame fake EJs running around out there.

okay heres the deal, what I showed you to me, loks legit all the way to the Ice Iridium lenses, the only thing, is theres no "Scar" name on the left arm..The guy I got them from is an Authorized Oakley Dealer in San diego Calif, he states that they are legit and stated that at the time they were made they maybe didn't have a name on them , okay fair enough, ....but theres a frame for sale that has a name on it:

also, I just receieved a pair from a seller who sells legit Vintage as well and these have a name on this pair as well

This would not be the first example of certain frames not havent names on the inside that were later changed to have the names. First gen Eye Jacket and the Monster Dog come to mind.

Hi I just bought a pair of infinite hero lenses for my Juliet's of eBay. When I look thought them everything has yellow/green tint. Also when I look up and down the tint changes intensity. I've never owned a pair of hero lenses. Is this normal or are they fake? There a plus sign on them. Also one lens rattles in the fully tightened frames.
