I have the same cheetah pair, but has jacket and made in USA on the inside stems. Does this mean, it’s a gen 2 with the new formula?

I swear I read in a comment on this forum, the original EJ (box stems) had 2 iterations: no stamp (like the previous poster) and stamp (like mine). The stamped versions, used the new formula = less brittle.
Any experts confirm?

Beat me to it. This is absolutely correct.I have actually been gathering up pics and info to put together a comprehensive post about the Eye Jacket line. To answer your question YES, the original square hinge Eye Jackets had a Gen I and a Gen II. The one you have pctured in your post is a Gen II. The material they are made of however are the same. Both are brittle as hell.
Staying tuned for the Cheetah EJs. Something seems off, the logo and lack of “Made In USA” and “Jacket”.
