Official Fakes/Possible Fakes Inquiry Thread (ARE THESE FAKE? POST FAKES HERE)

The stand Is all that it can Get legit from This Ebay seller :(

he Have For sale r1 Xs Mars madman madman all fake from China :mad-35:
Fake really is rampant and XS for me is the better fake of all X-Metals that is why I challenge myself to identify fakes easily. The earstems/ arms on most fakes is a part that are badly copied, either thick or thin, bent and with flared tip.

I would be surprised if those catalyst are fake. Thats a hell of a lot of work to fake a cheaper pair.
Etching alone tells me its real. As for rattling, I dunno. Pop the lenses out and re-seat them

Popped and reseated but still the same

Guys, need your expertise. Recently bought a pair of Oakley Catalyst Ferrari from ebay from one top rated seller (theproscloset) with 99.8% positive feedback. I made the necessary comparisons with online pictures to determine that they are authentic but when I received them, the lenses rattle when i shake the frame. Is this normal?

I have purchased from that seller before and they were legit. If the rattle bothers you, definitely return them. However, I don't doubt they are authentic. If you decide to keep them, a very thin strip of electrical tape in the lens channel would probably fix the issue (some people do that to keep lenses from rattling in their x-metals due to small frame differences).

Thanks for the assurance that the seller is legit. Seller has contacted me back and probably will send it back to them. Read some posts about fixing the rattling here, maybe will give it a try first.

Serial number is good but it does look like someone replaced the "O" and left pry marks. I would return them or ask for a partial refund if you are ok with the marks and the ill fitting "O".
