Official Fakes/Possible Fakes Inquiry Thread (ARE THESE FAKE? POST FAKES HERE)

Hi all. Looking for some advice. I found these laying around and have no idea on the model or if they are real. I probably got them in the early 2000s. There is no Sku or name on the arms. no marks at all just "made in the USA" and CE.

any ideas?

thanks to the users who posted about o-review.com. I was able to figure out that these were Eye Jacket 2.0s

back to there not being the model or sku on the arms. is there a concern about this?

Adding the SKU is a bit more recent. Some models have had moulded model names for a long time, others didn't so I wouldn't worry.

I was looking at a pair of Oakley 3D Gascan Tintin on ebay and comparing with other sources online, i'd noticed them on the latter, the SKU# appeared on the inner tip of the right ear stem but this ebay seller has the SKU# on the left ear stem, together with the words "The Adventures of Tintin".

Hey everyone
Does anyone know anything about, or dealt with the Rakuten Global Market web site? Any info would be helpful. They seem to have difficult to find items and I would like to know if they are authentic?
Thanks

Hello guys

New to the forum.I just found a pair of Oakley fuel cell in the attic. I would like to know if they are real. It says Fuel cell on the left. And just has a CE on the right side. There is also a polarized writing on the left lens.

Thanks in advance

The company itself is legitimate, but it's still a case of buyer-beware - they let all sorts of "e-tailers" sell on their site, and they're massive enough that I doubt they can vet every single product offered for authenticity.

For example, most of the Oakley stuff offered, especially current products are likely legit. The pricing certainly aren't bargains. But the pics are stock photos so you can't really tell from them if what you'll actually get is legit.

And look at some of the x-metal offerings - The Juliet is $600, which is overpriced even for an authentic one. Then they have a polished R1; Oakley never released a polished R1. And they have rubber kits claiming to be OEM in colors that were never released OEM...

Personally I'd stick with buying from specific vendors with a proven reputation.

I don't see enough in those pictures to call real or fake either way. I believe all the Fuel Cells came with the model number and frame measurements on the arm as stated above. Every pair I've owned has had those markings. We'd need to see better pictures of the insides of both ear stems to take a look at the way the frame is stamped and any other clues there might be.

Something else is that I can't seem to find that colorway in the O-Review database. Maybe it's the picture but that frame almost looks cream colored to me which I don't think was ever used as a Fuel Cell frame option. It could be a polished white frame I suppose but the icons are the wrong color for that frame. I'd have to rule out it being an OCP pair too since the lenses are actually etched.

Basically we need more information to be able to give you an accurate call.
